Angelfish are beautiful, big fish which are often hanging still in the water. Their big, slick bodies can easily reflect the light that enters the water from above. This makes them to be a marvelous spectacle, creating a full color palette by combining their own colors, the environment and the light.

In this work I try to show this colorific splendor.

The eye-catching eyes of the main actor ‘Jake Gyllenhaa’l from the Jarhead movie stair at you.

This iconic dark portrait of a soldier in a totally futile war … What is in his mind? The total futility of all this?

These possible thoughts inspired me to make this painting. I have tried to convey the desolate feeling of this man on the canvas by using strong colors.
